One Day in Bangkok and the Heart goes faster

It is raining cats 'n dogs  when I arrive at the showroom of ForFun in Bangkok city. After peeling off my raincoat and entering the store I not only gaze at the costumes and accessories from petplay-heaven but I am mesmerized by multifaceted colours and staggering styles on hangers, in shelves and cabinets. This is paradise for every latex lover. Especially because the owner Mr. S not only sells but employs artists who create those beautiful prototypes and customize everything for their fan's needs. ForFun is merely a program than a name and its clients more than just customers. They are the soul of their articles while Mr. S has put his heart into producing a whole rubber world since 2009: a showroom, four designer studios, an online shop and new projects in the pipeline. In November 2022 will be the opening of a café across the street for more social events and a boarding house next door. Bringing the local community together is one of his goals apart from spreading joy. I browse through different clothes before trying several pieces in a changing cage. Unfortunately the most brilliant pieces don't fit but my time is too short for a proper fitting. I am more curious about peeking into the studios where the magic happens. Pieces are cut on big tables while the cat called Boss loves to take her walk on it and accidentally kicks down a spool. There are hundreds of reels with material, boxes for buttons and more stuff in stock, all waiting to be put together into unique creations. The atmosphere is calm, people work focused and I think by myself how proud Mr. S must be when looking at what he has accomplished. Back at the shop Mr. S presents a souvenir for Vivishine: a sign in Thai letters meaning wealth which will find a nice place in Munich and reminding us of Mr. S and his philosophy -  creating not only customers but fans, creating pleasure as a principle.
